OPEN NIGHT, RADLETT SALON

Behold – the event of the year, in all its digital glory. (Click to see the full photo and flick through.)

And what a cracking night it was.  Thanks to everyone who came along – great to see so many faces, old and new; we are delighted to have made such wonderful new customers and friends.

Not a dull moment was had, as demonstrations sprang up in every corner from our team of hairdressers and therapists (nails, massage, beauty), as well as healthy guzzles of prosecco and delicious nibbles aplenty.

Thanks to all our lovely stylists, therapists and assistants who made it such a success. To the cake makers, too, both in-house and Wenzel’s the bakers, who very kindly donated a tasty creation for our Macmillan charity collection.

And a big thank you to photographer Alessandro Pelosi at Sparks Media for his excellent work capturing the fun.

Enjoy the photos and see you at the next one!

PHOTOS: Creative night

Our stylists are a creative and passionate bunch, dedicated to their craft - always experimenting with new techniques, always refining and honing their skills. Along with regular training, the creative nights are a key part of our commitment to the highest standards of hairdressing; they're also a lot of fun - making them a highlight of our calendar!

THE PLAN
To get playful with alternative ombré techniques, using vintage pinks and purples.

THE PROCESS
Both our models had thick dark hair, so we first had to strip out some colour. With Sarah (left) we used a backcombing technique, to get more colour into the ends of the hair, for a stronger. more defined finish.  For a more subtle and blended effect, on Charlotte we used a balayage (freehand) technique, sectioning off the hair into pony tails before applying the colour.

THE RESULT
We loved the results. Two fabulous effects achieved using different ombré application techniques. The second photo doesn't quite show off the colour detail in all it's glory unfortunately - but we'll work on our photography for next time!
